God was pondering over the contents of the report Ref: 210480/Bangy/530PM, given to him by Gabriel, Chairman of the ASTW (Angels to survey the world) committee and HE wondered about what was making world as lacklustre as it was.

He then realized that the world needed THE ONE!! and he sent the ONE to the holy land of India..

And then he also sent me at the same time to keep GOD updated on the activities of THE ONE!.. Me GOD's own reporter :)

Lemme tell you its a lousy job! If you wanna know more about that do contact me: i mean.. God's own reporter!

Momentary Lapse of Reason

Short story. Simple lesson.

I had a tiff with my friend the other day. Actually it was brewing from a while.

We were arguing quite randomly. True, we do that quite often... but this time I was getting angry. Very angry.
A few years ago, I had stopped talking to another of my very good friend because of a similar caustic argument. And I was just as angry then.

I was scared my anger was getting beyond my control and I told her as much. But she kept arguing on the rights and wrongs in the discussion. And perhaps was right about a lot of things.

I realized a very important thing at that moment.. There will be a lot of situations in your life when you are in an argument and you are sure that you are on the 'right' side. But in some such cases its not all that important to reason out an argument. It is more important to ensure that you dont lose that person for some stupid argument which really did not deserve to be adjudged.

So, try killing your ego for just a li'l while and stop reasoning. And smile :).

[Okay now for the actual gyaan part.  :)]

Sometimes getting a smile back on somebody's face is more important... than winning an argument. Specially when those people are important.
Because losing that argument may not hurt you for long. But losing those people might quite certainly do.

@Garima

You're right. The coin definitely has an other side. And I shouldn't have got angry. But being an absolutely normal human being I also tend to lose patience at times. And I know my friend adores me as well, may not be as much I do, but still she does. I only wish that she could tell me, atleast at times, that she cares. What inhibits friends from expressing their affection is beyond my comprehension :)

@ Smitapec
I couldn't understand too much of what you wrote here. All I can make out is that you are not in the best frame of your mind these days. I dont know the reason. But I can tell you that life is not all that bad. Let this phase pass. If I can see it right.. life is extremely bright in front of you and waiting with open arms :)

@ Arny chak

I strongly recommend watching the movie:

Mon oncle d'Amérique

It's a tad boring because of its documentary style of narration, but it says a lot about why we do what we do, and in the end helps us to improve through a better understanding of ourselves.

Well, arguments discussions and fights keep on happening.. true, u shld not lose a friend coz of them but keep on trying to improve the situation.. don't know if everything in the world has a definite solution and can be resolved.. doens't seem like it at times.. the phrase which we so commonly use to make ourselves calm "sab theek ho jayega" doesn't usually work in reality but that is what we always strive for..
I wish the world was a simpler place to live in!!

Its so difficult to comment when u know the person, the blog is pointing at ...... I think I agree the gyaan totally and I can also spot the reason for ur argument with ur so called 'considered best Friend' and it was just that u got angry coz u urself agree that u guys have such random arguments very often and if I can say that right its almost every hour ....... so watz the point in getting angry and the bigger GYAN here is that never get angry.
The other facto is that this is ur side of short story simple lesson of wat happened the other day and ur friend might not write a blogo but still have story n lesson of wat happened the other day........ try findin out that n I am sure u both wud be smiling then :)
